TAPESTRY

Participants of Art on Referral groups were inspired by Grayson Perry’s Tapestries included in “The Most Popular Art Exhibition Ever!” shown at Arnolfini. This lead to discussion with the groups to produce a Tapestry inspired by shared cultural experiences of Bristol City Harbourside.

Wanting to make a tapestry relevant to all the people of Bristol, the groups worked on pieces to be included in the collaborative artwork. Telling the story of the water flowing through central Bristol, known to some as “The Docks” and others as “The Harbourside”.

A collaboration with Bristol Ferry Co. and the Museum service, TAPESTRY was due to be exhibited in June this year at Arnolfini. Watch this space...

creativeShift works with those who are experiencing or are vulnerable to isolation and mental health challenges, offering participants involvement in creative art activities which promote wellbeing.

We develop collaborations with relevant organisations in response to need. We offer an opportunity to further develop/progress an individual's recovery/progression plan through creative activity.

We bring together different communities through the arts, using arts to create bridges between people, their communities and culture.
